The Physics Faculty from the University of Havana, Cuba, has recently joined the Affiliated Centres Programme of the ICTP (International Centre for Theoretical Physics).
The Affiliated Center will develop, in close contact with the ICTP, a program in Quantitative Biology that should foster the insertion of PhD students from Center America and the Caribbean Region in the subject. Two PhD positions, for non-Cuban students, funded by ICTP are currently open. The positions guarantee 400 Euros per month for living expenses, and the free registration in the PhD programs of the University of Havana.

La Facultad de Física de la Universidad de La Habana, Cuba, se ha
incorporado recientemente al Programa de Centros Afiliados del ICTP.
La Facultad de Física desarrollará, en estrecho contacto con el ICTP, un programa en Biología Cuantitativa que deberá propiciar la inserción de estudiantes de doctorado de Centro América y la Región Caribe en la materia. Actualmente se encuentran abiertas dos plazas de doctorado, para estudiantes no cubanos, financiadas por el ICTP. Los puestos garantizan 400 euros mensuales para gastos de manutención, y la inscripción gratuita en los programas de doctorado de la Universidad de La Habana.
